About the Daily Gourmet

My name is Sarah.  I'm an All-American woman, and I have a passion for cooking.  I've spent most of my life moving around the country.  I was born in Florida, and have also lived in Arizona, Florida, California, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.  Nothing says "Marine Brat" like moving around!

My life is not perfect, but I'm blessed beyond what I deserve.  I've recently returned to college, and am pursuing a liberal arts degree.  For that reason some of my blogs are random.  I try to post at least 3x's a month, but that's not always the case.

The Daily Gourmet blog was started in June 2011 when Allrecipes.com invited me to become a voluntary All-star Brand Ambassador.

I love being an Allrecipes.com Brand Ambassador!  I have had many exciting opportunities to represent Allrecipes.com - from appearing on Good day Tampa Bay Fox13  to traveling to Biloxi, MS where I was able to attend the annual Chefs of the Coast event.   To date my most memorable trip has been visiting the Allrecipes.com headquarters in Seattle, WA.

I have had the chance to work with nationally known food companies, and some newer food companies.  The experience as a brand ambassador is exciting.  I get to test out new food products, and in some cases I have been asked to create recipes using the food products.  I am not the greatest food photographer, but I have discovered that I enjoy photography albeit my iPhone isn't the greatest camera.

As a voluntary Brand Ambassador I do not receive compensation for my work with Allrecipes.com. Any product received is only used for experience-based reviews on The Daily Gourmet. The reviews, content and opinions expressed in this blog are the sole opinions of Sarah.
